Established in 2006 as a Wirral Based Husband and Wife Team, The Mobile Handyman started out as a change of direction in our careers becoming a Handyman Serving the Wirral Areas, and after Becoming established, building our network of customers and suppliers we then registered our business with Wirral Trading Standards.  Focusing on providing a high quality service at affordable prices to Wirral and the surrounding areas .

Going from strength to strength we picked up a number of awards from the Trading Standards,  twice coming runner up for the prestigeous Trader of The Year Award from Wirral Trading Standards, and also won numerous 5 Star service awards from the Wirral Trader Scheme/ Trading Standards.

Originally Starting my Career in the Electrical Industry rewiring homes and Installing electronic security systems in the Merseyside, Wigan and Manchester areas, then going on to work for one of the worlds largest electronic fire and security installation companies before stepping out into the world of self employment.

Later I retrained in a number of professional sectors challenging my ability and gaining industry recognised qualifications and additional experience along the way in a number of professional trades.

I am Fully Qualified in Carpentry/Joinery training in both NVQ and Diploma levels, going on to achieve a Distinction in this field.

After Qualifying I went on to complete training at the ancient site of Cressing Temple Barns in Essex for the Preservation of Historic Windows, learning professional methods of repair using traditional hand tool techniques.

With my extensive background and experience in the Electrical and The Electronic Security Installation and Service Sectors, I went on to study Computer Programming with Hugh Baird Technical College achieving L3 Certification in two diffrent languages, using these skills to create applications for customers in a number of commercial situations. I also trained and worked with Trend BMS control systems in many Commercial, Educational and Domestic settings.

Also worked on the Electrical Maintenance team of a major Wirral shopping Centre and went on to manage the maintenance (Electrical and Fabric) to four hotels for a major hotel chain - so your work is in good hands.

To Date

Currently Studying (on-going during 2023/24) Additional Electrical and Electrotechnical Qualifications to Complete my up to date Professional Portfolio. Coming Soon: look out for my Electrical Inspection and Testing Services in the near future further enhancing my customer services portfolio.

Personal Summary

During my Professional Career I have worked in many High Security Enviroment's this included Major High Street Banks and Building Societies, High Street and Specialist Jewellers, Bonded Premises, Museums, and Prestigious Buildings, Law Courts, Local Major Shopping Centres and Commercial Premises, Hospitals, Universities and Schools, American Army Bases, Stately Homes and Estates, and the Homes of some Very High Profile People.

I also hold a City & Guilds in Bricklaying,  and have a Industry Recognised Level 3 Diploma in Painting and Decorating, Providing a well rounded experience in property maintenance. 

All of this coupled with over 35 years experience, provides the key for all your home maintenance needs.

Today I  continue to offer the same high quality service that we did at the start, my company name may have changed to Handyman Services Wirral, but we are still here.  So with this in mind, we embrace customers old and new, as we begin a new chapter in the history of the Mobile Handyman Wirral & Handyman Services Wirral.
